Essential Mountain Goats

For a friend we are making a playlist of Mountain Goats songs to form an intro to my favorite band, led by John Darnielle . It isn't really the _essential_ mtn goats, as a fan I have a separate list of 10-15 songs that to me define the music, however, this is a question of songs that provide a good introduction for the novice listener, therefore they are heavily biased towards more recent things.
